Fiberglass insulation is a man-made construction material used to limit thermal changes, as well as sound transmission, in buildings. It is composed of bundles of very thin strands of glass, which has a high surface area-to-weight ratio that makes it a lightweight, cost-effective, and practical option for both residential and commercial applications.
There are two types of fiberglass insulation: loosefill (blown in) and batt (blanket) insulation for attics and walls. Fiberglass loose fill comes in bags. Fiberglass blanket or batt insulation comes in rolls in various densities or R values, widths and lengths to fit particular building insulation applications.
The blown fiberglass insulation we use for attics and walls is formaldehyde free, non-corrosive, non-combustible and highly resistant to the growth of mold and fungi.
Fiberglass Batt Insulation
Our company uses fiberglass batt insulation when an upgrade is not possible due to budget constraints, or in certain applications that warrant its use. Our goal is to fill the wall cavity with better fiberglass batts than the average. This equates to a better insulation job for our customer.
